Secondary School Programme

Our Secondary School Programme provides young people with the opportunity to develop their handball skills, compete against other schools, and take on leadership roles within the sport.

What We Offer

Curriculum PE sessions and enrichment activities
Inter-school competitions and leagues
Young leaders and officiating programmes
GCSE and A-Level PE support (handball as an assessed sport)
Pathway into club handball via Trafford Handball Club

Developing Young Leaders

As well as playing, we encourage young people to take on leadership roles. Our Young Leaders programme trains students to support coaching sessions, officiate matches, and organise events — developing transferable skills for life beyond school.

Competition Pathway

Students who show talent and enthusiasm can progress into our club pathway through Trafford Handball Club, where they can train and compete at regional and national level.
