Inclusive Handball
Everyone deserves the opportunity to play sport. Our Inclusive Handball programme provides adapted sessions for people with disabilities, creating a supportive and fun environment where participants can develop skills, build confidence, and be part of a team.
What We Offer
- Disability Handball — adapted sessions for physical, sensory, and learning disabilities
- Visually Impaired Handball — sessions using audible balls and adapted rules for players with sight loss
- Walking Handball — a lower-impact version of the game for older adults or those returning from injury
- Trained coaches with experience in inclusive sport delivery
- Equipment adapted to individual needs
- Opportunities to compete in inclusive tournaments
Our Approach
We work closely with participants, carers, and disability organisations to design sessions that are accessible, enjoyable, and challenging. Every session is tailored to the abilities and goals of the group, ensuring everyone can take part at their own level.
Making Sport Accessible
The Handball Foundation is committed to breaking down barriers to participation. Our inclusive programme is part of our wider mission to ensure handball is a sport for everyone — regardless of ability, background, or experience.
