Trafford's Learning Trip to Veszprém

Trafford Handball Club Head Coach Stan Belinski visited Hungarian handball giants Veszprém KC to understand how one of Europe’s top clubs operates on a daily basis.

The visit revealed that even elite clubs like Veszprém start player development through partnerships with local schools — a model that mirrors Trafford’s own approach in Greater Manchester.

Following the trip, Trafford and Veszprém agreed in principle on player exchanges and joint training camps, giving Trafford’s young players the opportunity to train alongside more experienced players and coaches in Hungary.

Stan encouraged other English club managers and coaches to reach out to European clubs: “The handball community is really small and people tend to help one another.”

The club also established an agreement with IK Sävehof, the Swedish club behind the Partille Cup, for player and young coach development visits.
