Manchester and Trafford Handball Clubs Trial Merger
Manchester-Trafford: Stronger Together
Manchester Handball Club and Trafford Handball Club have trialled a merger for the 2024/25 season, competing as “Manchester-Trafford” in the Men’s Premier Handball League North.
The move brings together two of Greater Manchester’s most prominent handball clubs, combining Manchester HC’s experience — the club was established in 2003 — with Trafford HC’s rapid growth and youth development pathway.
What This Means
- A stronger, more competitive team in the national league
- Greater depth of players across the senior squad
- Continued separate youth development through the Handball Foundation
- A model for handball growth in the region
The partnership reflects the growing strength of handball in Greater Manchester and the collaborative spirit that drives the sport forward in the region.
